NOTE Wiki:Editing
From NOTE Wiki
- This page is intended to detail the editing policy at NOTE Wiki. If you need help or instructions for editing, see Help:Editing
- See also, Help:Talk
Please note: In order to edit NOTE Wiki, you must be logged in. You can log in with your ACDATA username and password (in other words, your college e-mail name and password).
Although NOTE Wiki can be viewed by anyone, it is designed specifically for students of Amherst College. Thus, only those with an ACDATA account can edit; you need to create an account and log in to edit articles.
As NOTE Wiki is administrated by NOTE, the organization NOTE reserves the right to dictate editing privileges. We hope that this project will be largely autonymous and self-policing, but there are a few basic principles which must be observed:
- adherence to our copyright policy
- adherence to our privacy policy
- intent to edit constructively
- civility towards other editors
- observation of Amherst College's Honor Code
Failure to abide by these by these basic principles may result in revocation of editing privileges. Blocking is generally temporary.
Please note that NOTE Wiki is not an anonymous community. You cannot edit as an anonymous IP address, as your account must be associated with an Amherst College e-mail account. This is to ensure that only Amherst College students can edit the wiki. (For more information, see our privacy policy.) This means that some degree of accountability is maintained in editing.
Adhering to these simple principles will make your and others' experiences here at NOTE Wiki more enjoyable.
